WHAT RECESSION.

Everybody keeps talking about the recession. What recession. If you listen to the politicians they will scare the hell out of you. But as in their campaign speeches they lie and lie. I believe that the figures that are put in front of them are wrong. If companies and stores are not making a billion dollars a week, we are in a recession.

Being a nice day I took my granddaughter out and we went to Alsip Nursery. The place was packed and people were buying. I think this place is high priced but shopping carts all had items in them, not cheap items either. On my way there I took note of the shopping mall and restaurant parking lots and they were full and people were walking to their cars carrying bags. So people are spending money and stores are making money. While I was out I bought gas, bought items at the store and ate as were everyone else I came across. Now if that is not spending money what is? There was so much traffic out there that you would think it was rush hour during a work week.

So the our faithful politicians who are looking out for us, shut your mouth's and quit crying wolf and look out for us a little better.

HOW LONG IS AN HOUR TO A CHILD?

NEWS ITEM: Indianapolis Indiana a 14 month old little girl died from being beaten by her mothers (MACHO MAN)18 year old boyfriend for more than an hour with a belt. The mother, Rachel Goodman, who is pregnant again said she tried to stop him but was injured. Hey Rachel did you ever hear of a phone to call 911 or how about calling outside for help to a neighbor, oh I forgot you were injured. What do you think should be done to Tayaun Chism is he is convicted? Me personally think he should be set loose in a bike bar with a note on him saying I KILLED A 14 MONTH OLD GIRL. Whatever the outcome is I don't think it will be enough. I thought God protects little children.

WHAT OF SPRING BREAKS - SHOULD THERE BE MORE CONTROL

It's that time of year again when the young and crazy college kids make their way to the famous beaches. Why do they go there. Drink, sex, to see what they can get away with. How many will get hurt or die this year as in the past years. Do these people act like this all year. Do they act like this at school or wherever they come from?
Is there be such a thing as Spring Break responsibly. You know it's not going to stop, but what if anything can be done to make it more responsible.

THANKS FOR THE COMMENT DECEMBER SUN

I know what you mean about the seasons. My daughter lives in Texas too and can't get used to the no snow or real cold weather in your winters. With me living in the Chicago land area I really look forward to the warm weather.

FIRST SIGN OF SPRING

As I went out for the paper this morning I found it to be a pretty nice day. It's supposed to in the upper 40's today and mid 60's tomorrow then back into the mid 30's on Wednesday. Anyway I got my paper and put my neighbors paper by their door as I do every morning. As I started to walk to my house I heard a familiar sound. I was the chirping of a robin. I looked around and sure enought there it was hopping around in the lawn looking for breakfast. To me this is a definite sign of spring and I glad to see it.
Just keep in mind SPRING IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.LOL

EATING IN QUIET!!!!!

Did you ever have a taste for something for a few days but never had a chance to get it. Well I did and that taste was for the Old Country Buffet. That is a favorite place for my granddaughter Delaney and me. Yesterday was the day. I said hello or high water we were going. We went around5:30 which was pretty much dinner time so it was a little crowded. That's OK because that doesn't change the taste of the food. We picked a table, got our food and sat down to eat. I don't know if you have ever been to one but the tables are set apart just enough to make a small isle to walk through which means if a person at the next table is talking loud you can hear them. Most people realize this and keep their voices down. As it be, there was a women next to us who I'm sure exceeded 400 pounds kept talking on the phone and it wasn't English. She kept getting and making calls for at least the first half hour she was there. Lady, if you came to eat, then eat. Put the phone down and don't bother those around you with your gibber jabber we don't want to hear it. My granddaughter who is outspoken at times said rather loudly "grandpa let's move to another table that lady is annoying". We didn't move but finished our meal and left.
They have banned smoking in places, why not cell phones.

SNOWBOARDING - FOR THE FUN OF IT.

Do you ski? People have been doing it for years, many, many years. It's a way of transportation and it's fun. If you like to ski then you might like to make a switch to something like a snowboard. Yes snowboard. Skiing takes skill but snowboarding takes SKILL. You have not two runners to balance on but only one board to balance yourself on and no poles. The skill involved in snowboarding is having good balance and knowing how to keep your board in tip top condition. Your rail must be in perfect condition at all times to allow you to do your twists and turns and jumps. It can be a long way down from the top of the hill if your equipment is not in condition.
I have come across the site called SNOWBOARD-MOUNTAIN. This is a place where you can buy snowboards, protective gear, accessories and anything else you will need to get into or upgrade your adventure into this extreme snow sport. You can reach them at http://www.snowboard-mountain.com/.
Tricking is the key word in this sport. Snowboard Mountain is the place to get tips and DVD's to learn snowboard tricks and anything else you want to know about snowboarding. By visiting this site you can see the many boards and various prices of the boards as well as an explanation of what each board is for. Not only is this site valuable for equipment it also tells you what sites to go to, to get additional tips on the sport.
So don't waste time, winters almost over, visit http://www.snowboard-mountain.com/ and get started gliding through that fluffy white power called snow and join the fun.
