Oh my where did my SUV go and better yet where did my 7 year old grandson go. I do believe he stole my SUV. That is exactly what he did according to a news article in my local paper. According to police the 7 year old boy took his grandmothers SUV and went on a 8 minute ride that left a trail of broken mailboxes, smashed cars and knocked down sign posts. The ride finally came to an end, police said, when a wheel fell off. This young man faces grand theft auto charges.
Next time grandma hide your keys when he is around or give him driving lessons.

THANK YOU WEATHERMAN
The time is Sunday afternoon, 4:00, and I am writing this to say thank you weatherman for being wrong again. According to you it was supposed to be cold and rainy today with snow flurries. Because of your forecast I didn't go to my camper and sit around the campfire with the rest of my friends. It turned out, yesterday and today to be in the 50's which is good camping weather. I trust you accept your paycheck as do other hard working people with one exception, they don't make as many mistakes as you do. Don't you feel guilty?

FROM INDIA - CAN I HELP YOU
This is a new article from my local newspaper. A woman living in Indiana near the Illinois border found a credit card lying on the floor of a store. Being a good person she wanted to return it to it's rightful owner. She took it home and called to 800 number on the card and was connected to a person from India whom she could hardly understand. She gave this person the name on the card and after a few moments the reply was, throw the card away, it belongs to a person living in the Netherlands, thank you for calling. End of conversation. The woman was not satisfied with this explanation, so she went to her bank with the card. As it turns out the card did not belong to anyone in the Netherlands but to a person living in South Holland, Illinois. Let's keep farming our work out to other countries big business. In this case you didn't get your money's worth.

OLD WEST STILL LIVES
My daughter Lorri lives in a small town in Texas called Shiner. Population 2007. Their name to fame is a company that produces Shiner beer. You won't find it around here but it is a big item out west. Well anyway people still ride horses into town and believe it or not I have seen people wearing guns on their hip as protection on the , get this, range.
Lorri had a large dog, I mean large and occasionally he would get off the chain and it would be hours before they caught him and brought him home. One day not to long ago he broke loose again and every time someone got near him he would take off. Behind her home there is a ranch and it just so happened that a "cowboy" was checking fences, saw what was going on and asked if he could help (this is the way my daughter tells it) this cowboy took his horse back from the fence and rode the horse toward the fence and over it. He stopped in their yard and said I'll have your dog in a minute. He took his rope (lasso) off the saddle and started toward the dog. The dog seeing what was coming turned and started running, cowboy in pursuit with rope twirling above his head, no Hi Ho Silver, at the end of the block he let the rope fly. The rope went around the dogs neck and he came to an abrupt stop. Minutes later the cowboy was back in my daughters yard, dog in tow. After the dog was secured by the chain again my daughter thanked him and he tipped his hat and said "pleasure mam" and jumped his horse over the fence to continue his checking fences.
Believe it of not!

WAIT IS OVER
Yes folks the wait it over. Can't wait to get there. I am referring to my camper that I mentioned a few posts back. It is not the best of days, it rained during the night, but it is not cold, not raining so my granddaughter and I are going. I took time from packing just to drop a line to let you know I will be enjoying friends and a camp fire tonight. Will even take a ride on the golf cart. Got to get going so to all of you I say, "HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND"
