I must of course introduce my son's and daughter-in-laws. First we have Kevin's mate, Karen.
She is a wonderful girl who likes to be involved with her family, Kevin, Gage and Mia. She also loves animals. So she can be near animals she works for a pet shop and is happy to be working there. Their home has a collection of pets from dogs to rats.
Lorri's mate is Billie. Billie is what they call a pusher on a natural gas or oil rig. He works seven days on and seven days off. When he is working he stays at the rig and is on call 24/7. When he is home for the seven days, he likes to ride his motorcycle with his dad, work on his truck and do family things. He is a master at the BB grill when he does a briskit.
Julie's mate is Mike. Mike by trade is a guy who does roofing, siding etc. On his off hours he likes to fish and hunt with a bow and arrow. He also likes to make sausage. Julie's freezer is full of all kinds of sausage. I've tasted some and it is good. He also makes salsa and other things. His dream is to someday open a fast food stand and become the cook he wants to be.
Well now you have met my family and will be able to relate when I speak of them.
Well happ blogging for now.

DELANEY RECOVERING
The other day after Delaney woke from her nap, I gave her, her pain medication. I asked her if she had pain in her throat and she said "NO". Good answer. Then she said she was hungry, well throughout the day she consumed, up until the time she went home (8:00) , four popsicles, cup of chicken broth, chicken noodle soup, dish of sherbert and ice cream and juices. You could never tell what she had gone through. This child would not sit down. It was about an hour after she went home that Julie called and said Delaney was standing on the back of a chair and fell on the top of it spread eagled and should she take her to the hospital ER because she was crying and complaining it hurt. I told her to wait about 15 or 20 minutes. She called back after that time and said Delaney was her old self again and not complaining of any pain what so ever. Boy, to be a child again and bounce back the way she did would be wonderful. It would take me six months to recover from what she went thru.
Well that all for now. We'll see what the rest of this day will bring.
Happy blogging to you.

DELANEY AT THE HOSPITAL
Today was a trying day. I arose at 5:45 am, showered and shaved, got dressed and waited to my daughter, Julie and Delaney to arrive at my house at 6:30 which they did. Today was a big day for Delaney, she was having her Tonsils and Adenoids taken out in the Outpatient section of the hospital. We arrived by 7, which is the time they told us to be there, and of course waited a while before being called. When this happened the three of us followed the nurse to a little room equipped with a bed and other hospital things. Delaney was put into a childs hospital gown, footies and hair net. So begins the wait. Fifteen minutes later a nurse arrived to take vitals and asked Delaney what kind of a mask she would like to put her too sleep with, a spaceman or scuba diver. She chose the scuba diver. The nurse told her they were going diving and would see all kinds of beautiful fish. Next the the doctor came to see her and see if Julie had any questions. He said the whole thing would take about 45 minutes. We went into the waiting and watched Oprah on her road trip and had coffee. After 45 minutes has gone by you start looking for the doctor to come out and talk to us. After an hour you start wondering if everything is OK (im sure you know how that is). He finally came out and said everything was fine and we could go see her. Of course she was still sleeping. It was 10:00 so I told Julie I was going to watch my favorite TV program" THE PRICE IS RIGHT" with Bob Barker. Ten minutes later Julie comes out and says Delaney is awake and doesn't want her, she wants her grandpa. I went in and watched her eat her popsicle. She was not happy that she didn't go scuba diving and see fish. She said they lied to her, so to brighten her mood the nurse gave her stickers, crayons, hair net, gloves, medicine cups and a pretend syringe so she could play nurse at home. After an hour she was released but she wanted to stay because she liked it there. The nurse finally convinced her that she would have more fun at home.
Delaney is fast asleep on my couch and maybe having dreams of scuba diving or being a nurse. God bless her for what she had to go thru and making mom and grandpa a nervous wreck.
Well so long til the next blog.
