DELANEY - DAY 1

Since Delaney has had her tonsils out the doctor said she could not go to school all this week, so grandpa is sitting for her. Julie drops her off on her way to work, 7:00 a.m., the important thing here is that Delaney goes back to sleep and sleeps until 9 or 10. When she does get up I put the tv on for her, thank goodness for Dora the Explorer and Sponge Bob. This takes up most of the morning. Today we had E-Bay packages to mail, which we did, went to pay a bill and returned home. By this time she was hungry so she ate two eggs. Then she wanted to go for a walk. In the area where I live there are duplexes and condos built around a lake that has a walking trail. We went for a walk, I can't believe how out of shape I am, my legs are killing me.
With the weather being so nice we sat on the patio and enjoyed the day. At 6 Julie came and picked her up leaving me once again alone in my world only to return tomorrow morning to see what that day will bring.
Happy blogging

LOAFING

To all that read this today, good day to you.
I can honestly say NOTHING is going on today. No hospital visits, no vet visits, just going to my sons house later today. I just finished putting a few things on E-Bay and prepared a few items for shipping. Being single (widower) I dusted, waxed and vacumed. My house is spotless.
I don't know how warm it is where you are but it is a beautiful day here, in the 70's. It is so nice that I had coffee on the patio with Mandy at my side and we watched all the neighbors, young and old take a walk on this beautiful day.
Well I'm going to enjoy the rest of this day and hope you do too.

MANDY'S VET VISIT

Mandy and I went to the vet for her 3:00 appointment and much to my surprise we got right in, no waiting, fast, quick and on time. The outcome of the visit is that she is now on a cough suppressant in pill form. She has to get half of a pill twice a day. Where were these pills when I first took her in for her cough? So she is scheduled for another appointment next saturday to see if these pills are doing anything. This visit cost $47.65.
While I was there I also made an appointment for her to get a hair cut because we both need one, maybe me more than she. So she will have her body beautiful day next week.
Until next time have a good day.

MANDY THE DOG

Mandy is a West Highland Terrier who was born in 1995. She is a wonderful dog and was my wife's best friend, after me of course, I hope. Since my wife passed last year, Mandy and I have become very close.
A few weeks ago Mandy started coughing. I took her to the vet and after blood tests, x-rays and whatever else was done I was presented with a $450.00 bill. I was told that just like some humans, when they get older their heart gets larger and this was causing her coughing. They wanted to do some kind of scan on her that would require me to drive almost 100 miles where they could do it at the cost of between $400.00 and $800.00. I will have to think about that. So at the end of that day I was sent home with water pills to help with the coughing. I can tell if their working or not. The following week I went back for another visit and was given more water pills and a bill for almost another $100.00 sent home to come back again. That visit is today.
I will let you know what the outcome of this visit is.
Keep on blogging.

DELANEY'S RECOVERY

Just a update on this little girl after her tonsils were removed. She is back to her normal self, won't sit down and eating like she can't get enough. It's good to see how quickly she bounced back from her ordeal. As of right now there is still no pain in her throat.
Ahhhhhh to be young again.
